Our Training Tips
The first time wearing shoes isn’t always easy – for humans OR animals! Here are our best tips to getting your pup started in their new kicks.
Back Paws First
When you put on your pup’s shoes the first time, start with the back paws. Their back paws are less sensitive and this helps prevent them from trying to bite them off. Once they’re on securely, give them positive reinforcement – treats and praise!
Treat Trail
Once you have those back paw shoes on, we recommend setting up a trail of treats. Now that they have to walk to get the treats, they can get used to walking in the shoes
Start Indoors
We know you might be tempted to take your dog outside right away with their new shoes, but we find it best to get them used to the shoes indoors before going outside.
